Preparations Under Way:

We are getting back "into the mix" very shortly in the J. Gilbert's, Glastonbury kitchen. In the following week we will be working out the details and schedule for our 2011 Tasting Menu Series. Nothing is set in stone as of yet other than the fact that our Chef's Tasting Menu Series will be resuming very soon! Details will be posted once all final decisions have been made. In the meantime we've got a ton of work to do...we have to get back to testing and brainstorming.

Mission Statement

This blog has been created to allow friends and guest of mine and of J. Gilbert's in Glastonbury, CT. an insight into the kitchen and minds of myself and my culinary team. We hope to share with you our ideas, philosophies, triumphs and even our failures.

Our tasting menus require alot of testing and trials to execute and I intend to keep our readers posted as to our progress throughout the weeks and seasons.

Anything at all will be fair game, but a specific attention to our efforts with regards to the Chef's Tasting Menu will made. Followers can expect full access to our tests and recipe/plate development.
